Cris

Cris had her next set of casts applied today. As you can see it's a process that she is still not that impressed about, but she co-operates and is nearing the end of her casting phase.

Zac

Zac had his next set of hand casts applied today. We are really happy with the progress made over the first week. Even with the casts on, he is using his hands more, which is encouraging.

Cris

Cris had her casts changed again today, and we are pleased with her progress. She still doesn't like cast changes, but she eventually gives up and goes to sleep about halfway through the process!

Sophie's brace.

Sophie was fitted with her donated Ponseti brace today, after her sucessful casting phase. As you can see, it didn't make much difference to her routine!

Feeding Time.

The kids in the Residential Unit have taken to looking after grasshoppers. They love to very carefully hold them and hand feed them with stalks of grass.

The Boys this week.

Joey’s casts stayed on for an extra week this week as part of his treatment, so he enjoyed some lounging around time! However Josh made up for his casting, having to be recast. His foot slipped in the cast. This sometimes happens with severe cases.

Janie gets a donated Ponseti brace!

Janie was the first of our children in the Clubfoot Unit to get her brace today, as her casting phase has been completed in 4 weeks. She was a little unsure about moving around in it, as it feels so different to a cast, but by late this afternoon, she was getting the idea of moving around.
