We had a surprise visit from Isabelle & her foster Mum on Wednesday.

They came into say goodbye,

as she is meeting her family next week.

We're privileged to have been a part of Isabelle's life,

Peek-a-boo!

Gregory arrived a couple of months ago, and has been settling in well.

He doesn't have Clubfoot, but casting will also help to get his feet into a good position.

This little guy is also deaf - so before his first cast, we demonstrated some casting on

one of our staff, so he could see it wasn't going to hurt.

It wasn't long before he had his casts on, and was back with his friends in the Unit.

Games

There is nothing like a good game of Chinese Checkers.

Some of our boys are right into it at the moment,

and get the Carers involved too.

Mobile again

There's no stopping Cooper -

he's learning to crawl as fast as his little legs will carry him!

He has Osteogenesis Imperfecta

and recently had another broken bone.

Now that's healed there's no stopping him!

Brothers & Sisters

We love to see the older children looking out for the younger ones,

and involving them in their games.

Next stage for Lilly

After 5 casts and then her tenotomy, Lilly went into her brace this week.

She is really thriving and and piling on the pounds!

Spiderman & Ultraman

It is safe to say Jacob was the happiest boy in the CP Unit on Friday.

He celebrated his 8^th birthday and all he wanted was a Spiderman towel and an Ultraman toy.

He got what his heart desired, as well as a build it lego style toy,

which are now his treasured possessions!

Landon couldn't wait for the celebration to begin.
He proudly displayed 4 fingers to anyone who asked how old he was.

Time for the cake, he blew out the candles like a pro,
then straight onto the pressies.

He's been borrowing his big brother Jimmy's helmet for ages,
so now he owns his very own

Superman helmet and a matching towel.

Even after the party was well and truly over,

he was still holding a card,

wearing his helmet and

singing at the top of his voice

"Happy Birthday" in Chinese & English!

So thankful

Saturday morning dawned with the news that Ethan was very sick.

So the day was spent at the hospital, seeing Drs and getting help for him.

He has intestinal issues, so we thought there was a complication with that, but fortunately it wasn't.

We really don't know what the cause was - but after being very sick, and in pain, he started to recover and feel a whole lot better.

Boy, it sure was good to see him get back to his old self again.

He spent the night in hospital, just for observation.

By the morning he was very ready to get home

and

what a warm welcome got from the Carers and other kids in the Unit.

Lending a hand

We all know helping out is part of everyday life

and here at the House of Love

the kids do just that.

Babies Unit Arrival

This little guy arrived in our Special Care Babies Unit on Friday.

He was born with Anal Atresia and has since had surgery.

All he needs now is to recover,

and catch up on some of his milestones.

But, we need your help.
